Medium-sized tree which can grow up to 15 m. The tree has an irregular crown. The leaves unfurl in a golden yellow colour and fade into a soft yellow-green to green. The leaf has a striking, red leaf stalk. The leaf margin is stronger toothed than of the species. The light-coloured leaf is scorch sensitive, especially in spring. The flowers emerge while the leaves unfurl. 'Worley' is applied as a park tree. It is one of the better yellow-leaved cultivars with a better leaf colour than A. p. 'Corstorphinense'. The name is often misspelled as 'Worlei' or 'Worleei'. Deep rooting. Tolerant to wet and cold soils, but not to being in water for a long time. It does not require, like the species, anything special from soils. The tree is not sensitive to wind.
