Fraxinus excelsior 'Allgold' is a strikingly beautiful ash with golden yellow twigs and contrasting black buds. With regard to use, to be preferred to 'Jaspidea', because it does not bear or hardly bears fruits. 'Allgold' has a round crown and attains a height of 14 - 16 m. The odd-pinnate leaf is light green in spring and turns deep yellow in late summer and autumn, 5 - 8 cm long. It has hardly any or no flowers and is used as a solitary and a park tree. Prefers moist, rich soil. Little susceptible to wind. Winter hardiness zone: 4
