Fraxinus excelsior 'Eureka' is a fast-growing selection with an irregular, wide pyramidal to conical crown. Height circa 20 m, width circa 15 m. The mat shiny, dark-green compound leaves are odd-pinnate with 5 - 6 pairs. In autumn they turn yellow. Generates, at a mature age, only female flowers that produce few seeds. Is applied as a road and street plant. 'Eureka' is especially useful along wide avenues and green verges. Preference for nutritive, moist soil. Winter hardiness zone: 4
