Small tree with a small spherical crown and fairly dense branching. If grown as a shrub, it will grow about 1.5-2 m high. Grafted on a tall stem, the tree will grow about 4 m high. Like the species, the twigs are light brown and smooth. The old bark is grey-brown and grooved in later life. The fan-shaped leaves are up to 10 cm long and often slightly broader. In autumn, the leaves turn yellow before falling off. This Hungarian selection has a somewhat awkward original cultivar name and is usually found under the trade name GLOBUS. Suitable as a standard globe tree for use in gardens and squares.

Происхождение
Kleine boom met een kleine bolvormige kroon en een vrij dichte vertakking. Indien als struik gekweekt, zal deze circa 1,5 tot 2 m hoog worden. Op een hoogstam geënt, wordt de boom circa 4 m hoog. Net als bij de soort zijn de twijgen lichtbruin en glad. De oude bast is grijsbruin en op latere leeftijd gegroefd. De waaiervormige bladeren zijn tot 10 cm lang en vaak iets breder. In de herfst kleuren de bladeren geel voordat ze afvallen. Deze Hongaarse selectie heeft een wat lastige originele cultivarnaam en wordt meestal onder de handelsaanduiding GLOBUS aangetroffen. Als hoogstam bolboompje geschikt voor toepassing in tuinen en op pleinen.
