Delbard Estivale is an apple variety from France, specially selected to serve as a hand apple or storage apple. Forms a medium-sized tree to about 7-9 m tall with a semi-open, round, eventually flattened spherical crown. The white blossom is an additional ornamental feature in April. The apples ripen around August and September and keep well. They are large and round to broadly conical in shape. The colour is greenish-yellow, with a substantial orange-red blush or stripes. The flesh is firm and distinctly juicy. The flavour is fresh sweet-sour and very aromatic. Excellent hand apple. Hardiness zone 6.
