'Goccia d'Oro' is a medium strong-growing plum tree with a semi-open crown of 6-9 m in height. The crown is round and slightly irregular in shape. In April, the white flowers open, measuring about 2.5 cm. 'Goccia d'Oro' is self-pollinating, which means that no tree of another plum variety needs to be nearby for good fruit bearing. The plums of 'Goccia d'Oro' are large, almost round and greenish yellow to deep yellow in colour, with a pale haze. The flesh is also yellow, firm, very juicy and sweet and flavourful. The plums are very suitable for direct consumption. Picking time is from the end of July to the end of August. Hardiness zone 6.
