Prunus 'Snow Fountains' is an American cultivar with thin pendulous twigs hanging down to the ground. It forms a broad weeping crown and can eventually attain a height and width of 3 - 4 m. The dark green leaves are fairly small and turn to orange and yellow in the autumn. The flowers are very abundant, like a 'fountain', with snow-white flowers hanging in bunches. Flowers in April. Hardly produces any fruit. It is used as a solitary in parks and gardens. Winter hardiness zone: 6
