Very compact, slow-growing Dutch cultivar of T. cordata that, when grafted on a stem, grows to become a small, spherical tree with a crown diameter of max. 3 m. The greenish yellow colour of the young twigs is remarkable. This adds decorative value particularly in the winter. The bright green leaves have a heart-shaped base and taper to a point at the top. They remain much smaller than those of the species, approx. 3 - 6 cm, but are larger than those of the cultivar 'Monto'. Due to its modest size, 'Lico' is suitable for small front gardens, patio gardens, roof decks and plant containers. Winter hardiness zone: 4
